Our Community Involvement

Team Schierl Companies believes that it is a corporation's responsibility to actively participate and to financially support the communities in which we do business. TSC actively supports Local Humane Society’s and Shelters in the communities we do business in as well as and The American Cancer Society. Team Schierl also supports numerous other local charities, participates in local parades and sponsors many youth sports teams.

American Cancer Society

Every September, Team Schierl Companies sponsors a 5K Walk/Run, Kids 1 Mile Walk/Run and Cancer Prevention Expo in Stevens Point, WI with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The event is focused on honoring cancer survivors, furthering cancer education, and creating a supportive family atmosphere in support of a cause that affects so many people. Participants are able to raise money by purchasing Memory Flags, which are displayed on the day of the event, silent auction pieces or raise pledges from family and friends. Leading up to the September date, Team Schierl supports an annual shoe sale through their convenience store division. With the help of the communities in which Team Schierl Companies does business and its Associates, in 2009 the event raised over $76,000 in the fight against cancer.

BUY a BONE Campaign 2010

Together, we made a difference in our community by helping the animals at area animal shelters and Humane Societies through the “I bought a bone” campaign which ran March 15th from April 15th, 2010. Guests of The Store convenience store purchased paper bones for $1.00 each. The bones were hung up inside the location and wallpapered many. The Store convenience store has 21 locations and as a chain, raised almost $14,000 which supported 9 different animal shelters and humane societies.
